Via Amy Camp and Cycle Forward – “Friends – every so often you see me post about American Trails Emerging Leaders Scholarship Program, which brings up to 16 young adults to the International Trail Symposium (this time, we’ll be in Dayton, Ohio – May 7-10, 2017) on scholarship. Here’s why this is important to me: We have to create ladders of opportunity for young adults who are interested in trails and conservation. You all know from current events how important it is that we protect our public lands and have talented individuals in place to help lead the way. This scholarship program provides a great learning and networking opportunity for our emerging leaders. And most couldn’t attend if not for the scholarship. One participant put it this way: paying her own way would have cost her 10% of her annual income. Can you imagine paying 10% of your annual income to attend a conference? The scholarship helps at least 16 young adults get beyond that hurdle. If this appeals to you, I welcome you to make a year-end contribution of $10 or more here: All donations will go directly to funding the scholarship. Please share with your networks today.”
