“The F Interagency Network Databank (FIND) is an initiative of the U.S. Department of State’s Office of U.S. Foreign Assistance Resources (F), which ensures the strategic and effective allocation, management, and use of U.S. foreign assistance resources. IRM’s Office of eDiplomacy worked closely with F to design and develop the FIND application. This site enables U.S. government (USG) personnel and users worldwide to do three important things:
- Explore and analyze national-level data about countries around the globe;
- Create visualizations from the data; and
- Share data and visualizations with colleagues, associates and friends.
The concept behind FIND was developed in collaboration with experts from the U.S. Agency for International Development, State and other USG agencies, and ultimately led to four basic principles. FIND was created to:
- Increase efficiency in the use of global country performance data;
- Increase consistency of data use across U.S. government agencies;
- Improve usability by enabling users to visualize, download, and contextualize data; and to
- Foster collaboration to share best practices and fine-tune analyses.”
