Monthly Energy Review — July 30, 2010: “EIA’s primary report of recent energy statistics: total energy production, consumption, and trade; energy prices; overviews of petroleum, natural gas, coal, electricity, nuclear energy, renewable energy, and international petroleum; carbon dioxide emissions; and data unit conversions. Preliminary MER data show that U.S. biofuels consumption in the transportation sector in the first 4 months of 2010 totaled 340 trillion Btu. As a share of total energy consumption in the transportation sector, biofuels consumption rose from 3% in the first 4 months of 2009 to 4% in the first 4 months of 2010.”
