As posted today on Law-Lib by Ann Fessenden, Circuit Librarian, 8th Circuit, this update from the Administrative Office of U.S. Courts (memo 9/9/05):
The Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals in New Orleans is closed and will move its operations temporarily to Houston. It will re-open on September 14, 2005, for the most urgent business.
The Eastern District of Louisiana is closed, but the majority of the court staff and judges are temporarily in Baton Rouge. Current plans are to divide the court operations among Baton Rouge, Lafayette, and Houma, Louisiana.
The Southern District of Alabama is operational.
The Southern District of Mississippi is operational.
