The bill recommends $31,730,000,000 in discretionary spending for the Department of Homeland Security. This is $715,000,000 more than the President’s fiscal year 2007 discretionary spending request and $1,472,299,000 more than the fiscal year 2006 enacted level, excluding emergency supplemental appropriations.”
