Please note that I am regularly updating my original posting on the San Bernandio, California mass shooting. One new article I add here includes short bios of those murdered, and you will see in them, us. They are indeed America – as we strive for it be – a country to which we all have come as immigrants – to build lives that contribute to the energy, passion, talent, diversity and the facets embodied by the word – hope, of our country. Since 2002 I have been blogging on beSpacific about the people who have died as a result of gun violence in America. I know that I will continue to blog in the months and years to come on deaths in America that result from guns – but I do so with a tremendously heavy heart, and with deep concern, especially in light news like this – Gun measures fail in Senate. And yes, I tag this posting with “civil liberties” as we all should live without the fear of gun violence – in our homes, in our communities, in our workplaces, in our country.
