Via Tina Glover – Sacramento Area Council of Governments – “The SACOG Info Center is pleased to announce that it has developed a new Information Resources Center website located at here. This new site organizes multiple SACOG data products and information services including:
- Data Library – under the Demographics & Other Data tab are static data summaries downloadable in Excel format on topics such as population and housing estimates, income measures, as well as SACOG 2012 MTP/SCS Land Use Forecast at multiple geographic levels including ZIP code, TAZ/RAD, and jurisdiction.
- Map Gallery – under GIS & Mapping Services tab are more than 70 maps created by SACOG staff for specific projects and special requests since 2012. All are available in pdf format.
- Interactive Mapping Site – also accessible from many areas of the Info Center site includes:
- Static downloadable excel reports for each city/census designated place (CDP) and county within the six-county SACOG region. Each report includes Census demographic, social, economic and housing characteristics as well as SACOG 2012 MTP/SCS forecast data generated from the SACOG travel model for base year 2008 and forecast years 2020 and 2035.
- Ability to select multiple Census Tracts to then view and/or download an eight page .pdf report of aggregated Census data.
- Ability to access aggregated parcel level data used in the SACOG 2012 MTP/SCS Land Use Forecast by drawing your own boundary. Summaries are downloadable in .csv or .pdf format, minimum thresholds apply.
- 2012 MTP/SCS Interactive Project Phasing Map – also accessible from the Transportation tab. Visually displays line item projects that have a specific geographic location, a completion year and associated project costs. Each project includes Project Name, Category, Type, Completion Year, Total Cost, etc. as well as a link to the more detailed project information such as project overview, funding history and amendment history. SACOG was awarded funds under the Sustainable Communities Strategy Implementation Round II Grant from California’s Strategic Growth Council that offered a unique opportunity to both update and expand the SACOG Info Center as well as to automate some of our most frequently requested items.”
