New York leads the nation in testing, conducting 16 percent of all tests, which have covered more than 2.7 percent of the state’s population. More than 1.1 percent of New York residents have been diagnosed with the disease. New Jersey has the highest incident rate per testing rate; Hawaii has the least. Alabama and Puerto Rico are the most sparsely tested…” [Once again, there are more than 380 million Americans, and only 2.8 million have been tested.]
