DIRECTORATE GENERAL FOR INTERNAL POLICIES POLICY DEPARTMENT A : ECONOMIC AND SCIENTIFIC POLICY – Network Neutrality Revisited: Challenges and Responses in the EU and in the US, December 2014. This document was requested by the European Parliament’s Committee on the Internal Market and Consumer Protection. Authored by J. Scott Marcus.
“This analytical study provides background on the debate over network neutrality, including (1) its technological, economic, and public policy aspects, and (2) the implications for European public policy going forward, including the position of the European Parliament on the Telecoms Single Market Regulation that was adopted in the first reading of the European Parliament in April 2014. It includes a comparison between the US, where these issues continue to be debated intensely, and the EU. It was provided by Policy Department A at the request of the Internal Market and Consumer Protection Committee (IMCO).” [Via Darlene Fichter]
