“The National Committee for Voting Integrity (NCVI) makes recommendations for electronic voting systems that will be deployed for the November 7, 2006 election. The recommendations were prepared with the assistance of the Brennan Center for Justice at NY School of Law and are intended to assist election administrators, poll workers, and voters in engaging the electronic election process. It is estimated that 80 percent of all voters will be using either direct recording electronic (DRE) or Optical-Scan voting systems in this year’s general election.” (October 26, 2006)
