Scope. GPO is undertaking an effort to digitize Federal Register related material including all daily issues, indexes, and Codification Guide/List of CFR Sections Affected from 1936 through 1994. Deliverables include master files in JPEG2000 format, searchable PDF files with embedded OCR text, and associated metadata [There are approximately 2,114,600 pages.] Performance areas include:
• Non-destructive scanning of original bound volumes
• Imaging equipment performance monitoring and reporting
• Creation of master digital images
• Creation of metadata
• Processing of images to create derivative files
• Delivery of files on solid state drives…”
