“The Federal Trade Commission submitted its Fiscal Year 2013 budget request to Congress, including the FY 2013 Budget Overview Statement, and FY 2012 and FY 2013 Performance Plans required under the Government Performance and Results and Modernization Act of 2010. The FTC’s formal budget request was submitted to Congress on February 13, 2012, in support of the President’s FY 2013 budget for the federal government. In an era of austerity, the FTC recognizes it has to do its part in some belt-tightening. The FTC’s FY 2013 budget request of $300 million is less than the FY 2012 enacted appropriation of $311,563,000.”
