On December 9 I posted on Fingerprinting and Background Checks for Media Covering Inaugural. As a follow-up, here is a press release documenting the personal and professional data required of all media for the slew of inaugural events. The Media Credential Application requires “…from each applicant: gender, full legal name, position, race, social security number or passport number, date of birth and which events the applicant wishes to cover. Furthermore, a digital photograph (passport-size) in .jpg format is required before the online application can be submitted.”
