Criminal Immigration Prosecutions Fall 22 Percent

Transactional Records Access Clearinghouse – “The latest available data from the Justice Department show that during November 2015, the government reported 4,861 new immigration prosecutions. This represents a drop of 13.2 percent from the previous month, and is down 22.3 percent from November 2014. The top five districts for criminal immigration prosecutions continue to be those along the U.S. southern border. The Southern District of Texas led with 386 prosecutions, followed by New Mexico (311), the Western District of Texas (293), Arizona (180) and the Southern District of California (112).
