CDC: National, State, and Local Area Vaccination Coverage Among Children Aged 19–35 Months

CDC, Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report, September 5, 2008: National National, State, and Local Area Vaccination Coverage Among Children Aged 19–35 Months – United States, 2007.

  • “Maintaining high vaccination coverage and continued attention to reducing current poverty disparities is needed to limit the spread of vaccine-preventable diseases among children. According to 2007 National Immunization Survey (NIS) results, >90% vaccination coverage for children born during January 2004–July 2006 was achieved for most of the routinely recommended vaccines. Less than 1% of children surveyed had received no vaccines by age 19–35 months. Coverage remained high among all racial/ethnic groups after adjusting for poverty status.”
