The pioneering open source encyclopedia, Wikipedia, run by a non-profit foundation with global reach and impact, has launched a free demo news resource, called Wikinews. The site states, “Our mission is to create a world where citizen journalists report the news on a wide variety of current events.” The permanent link for the site will be en.wikinews.org.
