Poynter Institute: “The recipients of the 2016 Pulitzer Prizes were announced Monday. We’ve collected the winners below, along with reactions from newsrooms across the country.”
- Please note – via Margot Williams, The Intercept – “Congratulations to all the researchers who have contributed so much to winning and finalist stories! I am so proud of you. FYI it looks as if this is Julie’s NINTH Pulitzer… Awesome, groundbreaking, take another bow!”
- and via Kitty Bennett, The New York Times – “Many congrats and respect to the researchers I know about who worked on Pulitzer winners, especially to my former colleagues at the Tampa Bay Times. Caryn Baird worked on both the stupendous Failure Factories and the investigation into Florida mental hospitals. Natalie Watson also worked on the mental hospitals series. And to Julie Tate and Jennifer Jenkins of the Washington Post for their work on the amazing police shootings database. I just cannot imagine the work that went into putting that together. There have got to be more researchers to celebrate out there!”
