Via GovDocs Listserv: “Just thought I’d give this group a heads-up about what’s going on with LOCKSS-USDOCS (http://lockss-usdocs.stanford.edu) and the government shutdown. I talked with Mary Alice Baish as soon as I heard about the possibility of a shutdown. She basically told me the same thing as what was in the GPO the press release — that during the shutdown, FDsys would remain online and accessible. Because of this, we did not release the LOCKSS-USDOCS cache (which contains all of the FDsys collections to date). In the event that FDsys were to be unavailable for an extended period of time, the LOCKSS-USDOCS cache would of course be made available. Please let me know if you have any questions. We’re always looking for new LOCKSS-USDOCS partners — the more the merrier! — so please let me know if your library would be interested in participating.” [James R. Jacobs, Government Information Librarian, Stanford University]
