Queens has among the highest percentages of seriously delinquent mortgages in New York City, only slightly less than the Bronx and Brooklyn. Within the borough there is considerable variation in foreclosure and delinquency rates, with pockets of high concentrations in some neighborhoods. Similar to the Bronx, Queens’s year-over-year change in the house price index remains negative. Moreover, this pattern of decrease is widespread relative to the other boroughs.”
