Non-Proliferation – Global Threat Reduction Fifth Annual Progress Report 2007

“The fifth Annual Progress Report on the UK’s programmes to address the Nuclear, Biological and Chemical Legacies in the countries of the Former Soviet Union (FSU), Countries was published on February 18, 2008…The Global Threat Reduction Programme is aimed at the non-proliferation of weapons or materials of mass destruction through the establishment of cooperative threat reduction projects with key partner nations. In order to enable the UK to work effectively with other countries to address these important challenges, in 2000 the UK Government established new programmes to deal with the nuclear, chemical and biological legacies in the FSU.”
