Experts to explore COVID-19’s impact on the air and space industry at virtual meeting

ABA – “U.S. Representative Rick Larsen, the U.S. House Aviation Subcommittee chairman, will give the keynote address, “Seeing the aviation industry through COVID, CARES Relief, and Recovery,” at the American Bar Association Forum on Air & Space Law’s 2021 Virtual Update Conference on Feb. 24 at 12:30 p.m. ET. The online conference will feature leading air and space law experts who will discuss the aviation legislative outlook under the Biden Administration; global health and commercial travel; how COVID-19 impacts regulatory priorities; the government’s role in the space industry; airport revenue generation during a pandemic; developments in drone regulations; airline litigation; the air cargo industry during the pandemic and diversity and inclusion in law firms.

On Wednesday, a fireside chat about global health will take place at 2:10 p.m. with Peter Greenberg, travel editor, CBS News, Los Angeles, California.  On Thursday, a fireside chat will take place at 2:10 p.m. with Karen Clayton, general counsel, International Air Transport Association, Geneva Switzerland. ABA President Patricia Lee Refo will give keynote remarks at 4 p.m. Air and space legal issues and policy perspectives will be discussed at panels and explored by aviation experts from leading air and space law firms, private companies, the Federal Aviation Administration, NASA, Federal Communications Commission and the, U.S. Department of Transportation, amongst a host of other leading companies in the air and space industry.
