Follow up to previous posting, Red flag laws and the Colorado LGBTQ club shooting – questions over whether state’s protection order could have prevented tragedy – See Weaponized – Why are we still ignoring this crucial red flag? “…The failure to bring forth charges and the lack of public records meant that Aldrich was able to dodge Colorado’s “red flag” law that would have allowed state officials to seize any weapons and ammo in his possession. While it’s impossible to say whether that would have prevented him from carrying out a massacre last weekend, it’s clear that multiple warning signs were overlooked and/or dismissed. The most glaring of those warning signs was his history of domestic violence and aggressive behavior towards women, which is a precipitating factor in an overwhelming number of mass shootings in America…”
